My Anger Can Go

Facing Voices of Teenage Girls in South Bend, Indiana, Teens

My anger comes and
my anger goes
When it comes
I often forget
To think about myself and the others around me
My anger makes me want to scream and shout
My anger makes me not care at all because
I am in such pain
This causes me to
sometimes hurt
those around me
Those I know, those I see, and those I love
I hurt them with my words, my glares, and I have even hurt them with my hands
I do not want to hurt
people anymore
I know that I can have
control and that I
can keep calm
At the end of the day, I will feel better about myself
if I can keep my cool
Those around me will feel better towards me too
My anger comes and
my anger goes
I am getting stronger
everyday
While the pain will
probably never go away,
I wish that soon this
anger will fade
For the sake of me,
For the sake of
those around me
And for the sake of
the people I love
