Lauren Hansen, a broadcast journalism major from Amo, IN has lead the student writers in producing stories for the Facing Project. She has also taken photos for the book and website.
“As a writer, I’ve learned that although writing from someone else’s perspective is a challenging and sometimes tough road to go down, it gives you a better sense of why people write in the first place,” said Hansen.
Like many of the other track leaders, Hansen has gained powerful leadership skills and has learned to love group work. She believes that she’s gained more experience by working with a team. Hansen has gained experience working under pressure and as a team member through The Facing Project.
