J.R. Jamison & Kelsey Timmerman

As the founders of The Facing Project, J.R. Jamison and Kelsey Timmerman are passionate about helping communities tell their stories, and using narratives as a platform to dive deeper into the human condition that connects us all. Their work has been featured in the Christian Science Monitor, Condé Nast Portfolio, The Guardian, The Huffington Post, TIME, Pangyrus, Writer’s Digest, and in various print literary journals. Together, they host The Facing Project Radio Show on NPR.

J.R. and Kelsey have spoken to audiences both large and small, including at hundreds of conferences, universities, and speakers’ series around the nation and the world. Through humor, readings, and good old-fashioned storytelling, their talks help audiences understand how stories and writing heighten empathy, challenge biases and assumptions, and combat polarization.

Whether you are seeking a keynote, workshop, classroom visit or all of the above, J.R. and Kelsey have you covered. For booking or more information, contact Christie Hinrichs at christie@authorsunbound.com or 541-797-2217.
